If you have the means, I need your help NOW, I need to raise $800 by Nov. 10th...

Hello to all contributors! I am in desperate need of help with rent money for the month of October, which is pass due, and November 2011 is just around the corner. I am from West Hartford, CT. 44 years old, been unemployed since June of this year, and have had no luck in finding a job. I'm depressed and don't have family or friends to turn to. I have always been self-reliant but for the past 3 years, financially, It has been painful struggling, some days I just feel like giving it all up... don't ask me what that means because I don't know or won't know until it happens... I need to raise $800 by Nov. 10th, 2011, or my landlord will evict me from her property. If you can donate $10, $20, $40, $60, $80, or $100 today to help me get caught up on my rent, the generous gesture would be memorable and forever appreciated. If you have the means to help make someone, (a complete stranger) life better, then please try to help me... I'm no good at asking or begging for help because I grew up with no one to help me make it in the world, which made me look inward for help... Now its seems that I may be running out of self-empowerment, self-luck, I'm not sure why, I am the most caring person, honest, law abiding citizen with a big heart, a humanitarian. It seems I always give help but no one is ever there to help me... In need of construction help

It has been a few months since my last post. My sister has had lung resectioning and has been advised to begin chemotherapy. Her home has become run down to the point that living there will compromise her health while on chemotherapy. I am looking for any help with time, labor, materials and knowledge of demo and replace very small kitchen 12 x 12. Home is 100 years old and now has a rodent problem. Doctors want to start chemotherapy within 30 to 45 days. We are still waiting for funds from SSD (it has been 18 months). No fund available to do job. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My first post, and I'm already sounding pitiful and desperate

I'm a 20 year old man who has run into some rough times. I was a student at a nearby university before familial and financial hardship found its way into my life. It's now been a year since I finally found myself unable to support my education, transportation, and basic needs without support from my family. As a result, the past year of my life has been spent moving from job to job, living off of what little I have been making, and hoping that something better will present itself. I was taken into an apartment by a friend, but I am now unable to pay my way here since we lost our room mate. I have less than 2 days to come up with the power bill, which is not looking good. I also have the same amount of time in which to find enough money for my credit card payment. Our rent has become far too much, but due to previous late payments, we are unable to transfer to a smaller unit and reduce our expenses. I am an extremely hard worker, and I have always believed that we must be willing to work hard to get what we want and need. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find a better job that pays more and offers more hours. This is honestly the lowest point I've ever hit in my life. I am out of ideas, and out of resources. This is my last hope, it seems, to find a way out of this hole. I am in excellent physical condition, skilled in many trades including HVAC and yard work, and I am absolutely willing to do whatever it takes to make it back to a half way decent living situation. Don't hesitate to ask questions regarding past jobs, leadership training, etc. For what it's worth, I am an Eagle Scout. I know what hard work is, what honor means, and how to make things happen. I hope to God there is someone out there with advice.

Need Help

Bought my house in 1992 and we had a hevey storme and High winds and it tore party of the siding off my house and discovered that the wall exteriour wall is totally dryroted contact my insurence co and was told that my policey did not cover dry rote. It will cost 4500.00 to have the wall replaced and i am disabled and on disabality I get $1006.00 mo and am just barley making ends meet. I am in need of help to get it repaired. any help appricated

landscaping, painting/drywall, home remodels, bartending, any type of handyman work, office management, bookkeeping and database management.

I am a fast learner.  I want to work.  I WANT A JOB.

I pray for us all in these times.  Now is the time when we learn what the "Friuts of our Labor" means.  Prosperity will not come from greed, it is in us that Mother Nature is expecting us to change and understand.  Learn how to garden,  do not live wasteful.  God Bless you all
